​Fewer and fewer construction walls remain at MSP's Terminal 1-Lindbergh as another round of concessions recently opened their doors to the traveling public.
Twins Grill, located on Concourse C, brings a little bit of Target Field into the airport with unique design elements and a classic bar food selection. Swing by for some buffalo chicken poutine or check out the only replica of Target Field's iconic Minnie and Paul sign. Twins Grill is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
JetSet Express, a temporary news and convenience wall, opened earlier this month on the Tram Level to provide convenience items for customers while its permanent location is under construction. The pop up is stocked with snacks, beverages, magazines and other travel essentials. JetSet Express will remain open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the permanent store opens next month.
Another bookstore, Words, is now open on Concourse C. Designed to Look and feel a local neighborhood bookstore, Words carries best sellers, new releases, fiction and non-fiction, as well as book accessories and merchandise. Words is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Local favorite eatery Smack Shack is now serving its signature seafood dishes in the Airport Mall. Its menu includes favorites from its flagship location, including lobster rolls, Po' Boy sandwiches and their famous lobster mac 'n cheese. Smack Shack is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Lastly, Lake Wine Kitchen + Bar opened this past Saturday in the Airport Mall. In addition to a menu that includes breakfast, small plates, salads and sandwiches, the restaurant also offers grab and go items and an extensive off-sale wine selection. Lake Wine is is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
These new concepts are part of a massive renovation project, including updating the Ticketing and Bag Claim areas at Terminal 1, full remodels of nearly 100 sets of restrooms, four new gates at Terminal 2-Humphrey, a luxury airport hotel, and a new 5000-space parking ramp.
