New touch-screen directories unveiled

C Concourse Digital DirectoriesFour new interactive directories have been unveiled to help travelers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) while also helping boost revenues for Terminal 1-Lindbergh vendors. Each directory is double-sided and located at a TRAM stop along the C Concourse.

The new touch-screen directories are designed to be far more user-friendly than the existing digital directories in the Airport Mall. In addition to providing flight information and walk time estimations, the new directories enable users to locate restaurants and shops, view menus and search terms by subject matter or price points. The directories provide customers with information including:

  • Airport shops, restaurants, services and other amenities
  • Flight information
  • Menus for Terminal 1-Lindbergh full-service restaurants
  • Interactive airport maps
  • Walk time to gates, shops, restaurants and services
  • Weather information
  • Airline contact information
  • Locations where they can buy particular food or retail items
  • Ground transportation information

Throughout 2013 the new directories will continue to be improved upon based on customer usability feedback. Existing interactive directories in the Airport Mall will be upgraded to match the new C Concourse directories early next year. Metropolitan Airports Commission Marketing Generalist Kate Dougherty has overseen the project, working with digital marketing agency SapientNitro.
