Stop by the stunning "Vanishing Wild" exhibit in the MSP Airport Mall at Terminal 1 – just across from the south Information Booth and near the Stone Arch restaurant – to see a collection of photographs of wild mustang horses.
The exhibit is the work of Minneapolis-based photographer Tori Gagne, who has traveled throughout the western United States to capture her award-winning images that have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
Gagne's love of photography began in grade school with a pinhole camera, inspired by her mother and brother who are both professional photographers.
But it wasn't until later in life that Gagne focused on mustangs after visiting a wild horse sanctuary and was "swept away by the beauty, wildness and amazing story of the American mustang."
"She has a special affinity for wild horse photography and is happiest on a dirt road in the western states seeking herds for her images," according to a profile of her in the January/February issue of Equestrian Living magazine (see p. 76)
Her travels have taken Gagne to Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah to find mustangs, which played a crucial role in the exploration, travel and building of the American West.

Bringing art to MSP is a joint effort between the Airport Foundation MSP, Arts@MSP and the MAC. The Vanishing Wild exhibit runs through March 2024.
